I always loved talking with you because nothing seemed to scare you - it was like you always had faith that God was going to take care of things, but I never got the sense that you had a horse in the race in terms of what the outcome was! Coming out as gay after having grown up in a conservative Christian environment was quite the emotional and spiritual journey for me, and I remember my work with Mark from 20 years ago. I can speak to the fact that I always felt supported, accepted, and I just remember feeling so relieved to have someone to talk to who I trusted, and I knew he was going to hold our conversations in confidence. It was also great working with Mark because he allowed the space for the tough spiritual and philosophical questions to be unanswered, but at least asked and explored.
